Scheduling an Exam
Once an application is reviewed and approved, candidates will be notified about the process for scheduling the actual time of their exam. Scantron, our testing partner, will notify applicants of their ability to schedule their exam via a direct email approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the beginning of the testing window depending on the date of application. The notice will provide a unique username, password and the URL address to access Scantron’s online test scheduling system to select a testing session, based on seating availability within Scantron’s network of US and international test sites. Candidates will select from a list of available testing centers by geographical location and test date.
Note for International Applicants: There is no longer a candidate surcharge for international testing sites (non US/Canada) to accommodate for global testing logistics. This fee will now be covered directly by PXI as part of your application.
Most test sites will have morning and afternoon testing sessions available. Scantron will do its best to accommodate the requested test site and date. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, based on test center availability. It is strongly recommended that applicants schedule their test session within two weeks of receiving notification from Scantron to have the best opportunity to secure the test site and date of preference.
For all test windows there will be a four-week period between the close of the testing window and result notification for additional validation and scoring as we evaluate and develop the highest quality designation for all participants. Exam score reports are delivered via email.

Retaking the CPXP Exam
Candidates who do not pass the CPXP Certification Exam may retake the examination up to 12 months from the original examination date (i.e., next two exam windows). Re-examination fee is $325. A candidate would need to complete a reexamination application, and a similar scheduling process would be required.
